Born in 1975 in Ankara, Turkey. Studied piano with Prof. Ayşe Savaşır at Bilkent University Music School and later at Bilkent University Music and Performing Arts Faculty.
She graduated in 1996 with a ‘High Honour’ degree. In 1997, she furthered her education in the Netherlands at the Rotterdam Conservatory. There she studied with Prof. Aquiles Delle-Vigne who had studied with Cladio Arrau and Eduardo del Pueyo. She graduated with a ‘Performing Musician’ diploma in 2001. She worked as the assistant of Prof. Delle-Vigne
at the Rotterdam Conservatory. In 2007, she graduated from Codarts (University of professional arts education) cum lauda and obtained her artist diploma. In 2007 she went back to Turkey and worked as piano teacher at Bilkent University. She has studied with Mehmet Okonşar. Jean Bernard Pommier and Kristina Stegmann in several masterclasses in Mozarteum Akademie (Austria), Rachmaninov Society (Sweeden) and masterclasses in Holland and Turkey. She has given solo recitals and chamber music concerts in Europe and Turkey and has performed as soloist with orchestras such as Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Rotterdam Young Philharmonic Orchestra, Bilkent Youth Orchestra and Yaşar Chamber Orchestra. She participated in the Dordrecht and Stravinsky Festivals as well as the Liszt Opera Dagen in the Netherlands. In 2004, recorded a CD with ‘ Passion for Tango’ (piano quintet) works of Astor Piazzolla. Esra has played in live radio and TV programmes in Holland and Turkey. In 2006 participated in a DVD project that features works of Dutch composer Willem Tanke. Since 2008 she has been teaching at Yaşar University Fine Art Department School of Music.
