Ms. Sak Brody received her D.M.A, M.A, and B.A degrees from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, Turkey, where she studied with Victor Pikayzen, and Reyyan Yücelen. She also took courses from Ilarion Ionescu-Galati and Ayla Erduran.
In 2001, Ms. Sak Brody moved to San Francisco, California. During her stay in the United States, she became interested in the Suzuki Method of violin teaching. Over the course of several years, Ms. Sak Brody attended Suzuki violin teaching certification courses from Cathy S. Lee, a pupil of Shin’ichi Suzuki’s.
From 1999 to 2001, Ms. Sak Brody was the concertmaster of the Hacettepe Chamber Orchestra under Rengim Gökmen. She has performed with many other orchestras in the United States and Turkey including the Santa Rosa Symphony, California Symphony, Berkeley Symphony, Russian Chamber Orchestra, Berkeley Opera, Milli Reasurance Chamber Orchestra, Tekfen Philharmonic and Cemal Reşit Rey Symphony.
Prior to Yaşar University, Ms. Sak Brody was a lecturer in violin at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory and Eskişehir Anadolu University State Conservatory.
Ms. Sak Brody is currently working as an associate professor at Yaşar University, as well as a violin instructor and music school coordinator in Yaşar University’s extended learning program (YÜSEM). In addition to her teaching work she also gives chamber music and solo recitals.
