Serdar Mamaç started his education in 1990 at D.E.U State Concervatory Izmir where he studied cello with Nejat Tekebaş and Umit İşgörür. After graduating in 1999, he continued studying with C. Erfa at Darmstadt Music Academy where he was accepted into the Master’s Porgram to study with Karine Georgian. In 2003 he recieved his Master of Music degree from Detmold Music Academy.

He has participated in various Master Classes with Alexander Rudin, M. Komitzer and J. Barthe. Mr Mamaç has given many solo concerst and performed with Trio Opus 35, the Yasar University Chamber Orchestra, Başkent Quartet and many other chamber groups. He premiered İlhan Usmanbas’ concerto for violin and cello.
In 2004-2007, he was a member of the Baskent Academic Orchestra and as a soloist has performed with the Baskent Academic and Cukurova Symphony Orchestras.

Currently he teaches at the Yasar University Fine Arts Department’s School of Music and is the principal cello of the Yasar University Chamber Orchestra.
